17th Annual Storytelling Festival

What are a Welshman and Canadian doing at the International story telling festival in Israel Taffy Thomas is HM. Queen Elizabeth’s laureate for story telling, with a most original approach.

Dan Yashinsky is an internationally acclaimed story teller from Canada who teaches and performs at conferences and festivals all over the world.

 

The Israel Storytelling festival created and directed by Yossi Alfi, is in its eighteenth year and apart from the outstanding foreign visitors, the program is riveting.

 

Amongst the personalities appearing are Rifka Michaeli talking about her childhood and teen age days,Karen Ofir in an evening dedicated to her father, the remarkable and much loved actor Shaike Ophir, Aulcie Perry the iconic basket ball player talking about converting to Judaism, TV crime reporter,Dana Weiss and Lawyer Sassi Guez talking about “criminals”Dan Halutz and Eitan Ben Eliahu with stories about the great flyers of the IAF and more….much more.

 

The Festival which opens on September 23rd Succoth, at the Givatayim Theatre, runs through September 30th The artistic director of the Festival is Yossi Alfi.

 

An International Storytelling conference will be held on Friday 24-9-10 suitable for all lovers of story telling.
